Meet your therapist, Kelly Walsh, LCPC (she/her)
Hi there, I’m Kelly, and I’m glad you’ve found your way here. If you’re searching for a therapist, it’s likely that you’re feeling the weight of one or more of life’s challenges so I’ll keep this part brief.
Since earning my M.S. in Clinical Community Counseling from Johns Hopkins University in 2010, I have accumulated over a decade of experience in the mental health field, including work in HIV/AIDS clinical research.
Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, trying to work through past hurts, or looking for support during a big change in your life, I am here to help.
In our sessions, all parts of you are welcome and encouraged. Together, we will deepen your self-awareness and work toward creating the positive changes you desire in your life.
Take the first step. Book a free 15-minute consultation by phone, email or online portal to see if we would be a good fit for working together.

My Approaches
Existential
Exploration of life’s bigger questions — like ‘Who am I? What gives my life meaning? What choices do I have?’ Sometimes, feelings of anxiety or feeling ‘stuck’ can come from avoiding these deeper questions. In our work together, we’ll create a safe space to explore these ideas, helping you clarify what’s most important, embrace your freedom to make meaningful choices, and feel more connected to a life that aligns with your values. It’s not about having all the answers — it’s about navigating life with greater awareness and authenticity.
Humanistic
Based on the belief that you have the inner strength and wisdom to grow, heal, and create positive change — though sometimes, life experiences can make it hard to trust that inner voice.
In our work together, we’ll create a safe, supportive space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings without judgment. This process can help you better understand yourself, tap into your strengths, and make choices that align with who you truly are.
Psychodynamic
Together, we’ll explore how your past experiences might be shaping the way you think, feel, and connect with others today. Sometimes, ways of thinking or behaving that once helped us get through difficult situations can stick around, even when they’re no longer helpful. Therapy gives us the space to gently uncover those patterns, bringing awareness to thoughts and feelings that may be just beneath the surface. As we notice recurring themes, relationship dynamics, and emotional responses, we can begin to connect the dots between your past and present — helping you develop healthier patterns and make more intentional choices moving forward.
